We trust we speak on behalf of all of us at the Palestinian-Israeli Peace NGO Forum when we congratulate FoEME for winning the Time Magazine award for “Heroes of the Environment 2008”. Gidon, Nader, Mira and the staff at FoEME; we are proud of your work and are happy for the international recognition you received for it. This award is a testimony to the vital importance of cross-border cooperation in designing a shared future for the region. As stated in the article: “FoEME also hopes environmental activism will show Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians how their national destinies are inextricably linked.”

On this occasion we would like to wish the Forum members celebrating the new Jewish year – Shana Tova and those celebrating the Eid el’ftr – Eid Fitr Mubarak.
